Welcome to the Easter Sunday edition of Gospel Music Roundup!

jesus-cross.jpg
This is a day, a time, for contemplation and celebration. Thinking about the sin that we may have mired ourselves in and celebrating that risen savior, being Jesus Christ, going the distance for US and laying down his life that we might have our relationship with the father forever bridged by His sacrifice!

My good friend and talented musician, Dave Berland sent me a little note this week, and it was one of those notes that you just stop and reread over a few times because of how profound it is. He wrote,

“Christ died on a cross made of wood - He made the hill on which it stood.- thats an amazing thought - why? because of the depth of His love..

Dave

Now, that may have been written elsewhere; I don’t know. But I DO know that it was one of those sayings that kinda slaps you upside the head like you see those folks on those V-8 commercials do and makes you realize the magnitude of this salvation we have been given.
You won’t be hearing a lot out of ME today on this edition, because the songs lay out the message FOR you. Listen, learn, and let God work in you thru that message.
On this day, Easter Sunday, Millions celebrate a risen savior! Imagine what wondrous work can be done for HIM were we to carry that celebration to the streets, day in and day out, with the same determination of saving souls as Christ had on that day, marching up to Calvary’s mountain.

Gospel Music Roundup: St. Patrick’s day celebration!

St Patrick and the Gospel in song The heartbeat and the soul of Patrick was the Gospel of Christ. He wrote in his testimony,

“I am imperfect in many things, nevertheless, I want my brethren and kinsfolk to know my nature so that they may be able to perceive my souls desire. I am not ignorant of what is said of my Lord in the Psalm: You destroy those who speak a lie and a lying mouth deals death to the soul. Likewise the Lord says in the Gospel, In the day of judgment, men shall render an account for every idle word they utter.

So it is that I should fear mightily, with terror and trembling, this judgment on the day when no one shall be able to steal away or hide, but each one shall render account for even our smallest sins before the judgment seat of Christ.”

These words of Patrick are as a prophetic trumpet of the Lord. It is most serious to steal the legacy from the people of the nation, particularly when that heritage was life and light in Christ Jesus!

Many Irish have grown up engrossed in the rites and rituals of Roman Catholicism. Many of us, turning from those dead things and having drunk deeply of the Biblical grace of God that is in Christ Jesus, now want to stand on Patricks words,

“no one shall be able to steal away or hide, but each one shall render account for even our smallest sins before the judgment seat of Christ.”

Surely this day so many use to indulge and party, can be taken back by the believer as yet another day to Honor God, and to glorify Him.

Take rest in His greatness, and enjoy the sounds of the Boatrights as they bring the Gospel with a Celtic Flavor

Sunday Service in the BlueGrass!

In Ephesians 1:18 - 23, the word says,
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might 20 which He brought about in Christ, when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, 21 far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
A powerful verse for a powerful life in christ! Let’s sing about that wonderful POWER in the Blood right here TODAY on the SUNDAY SERVICE!osbb-044.jpg

How’s your power supply today? Are you tapped into the one true power source that can get you going at a moment’s notice? There’s only one true way to feel the power of Christ in your life; To INVITE him there!
You might be saying, “Tom, it’s just not that simple.” But I’m here to tell ya, my friend, it IS. ONLY after I learned I had to completely Yield my life and need for “POWER” to HIM did I realize, THAT is what he has always been waiting for!
God doesn’t NEED to be in control; It’s not that he is intentionally holding back your power because of something you have or haven’t done; Rather, it’s because he wants you to TRUST him and ONLY HIM!
Do you feel out of control?
FANTASTIC! That’s just the critical moment you need, where you need it so you can learn to trust in only him; A breaking of that rebellious self-sufficient spirit that stands fast when God says “GO!”
As you head out today, Know that your Joy can only be made full by fully trusting Him when that guy cuts you off at the crossing or someone plays their music too loud. Our power is not of ourselves, but of Christ, and there is TRULY
POWER in the BLOOD~!
