Submitted for your praising pleasure;
A group that is new to the Gospel Music Roundup, but has been reaching, preaching and teaching in song for quite a while, now. They’re what you might call an eclectic mix, with a playlist that would fit in wherever there are ears hungry for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Their songstylings show that this group is willing to do whatever it takes to get the word out and make it sound smooth, yet with just enough bluegrass in them to make them right at home down the old mountain road. I’m talking about The Kellys, hailing from Norwood Missouri, just about an hour down the road from the studios, here, at Gospel Music roundup.
The Kellys have just released their new CD, “Living By Faith,” and Bass Player Doug Clifton got the ball rolling to make sure a copy wound up in my hands- Thanks, Doug!
It’s a great listen, from start to finish; I loved every song. I strongly encourage anyone listening to this broadcast to get your hands on a copy, and memorize each song. These are lyrics you will want to write on your heart, enveloped by a Love for the Lord Jesus Christ.
The Kellys are comprised of Housten, John, and Clayton Kelly, Bridget Kelly Lawson, Doug Clifton and Jim Buttrey, along with a host of Mentors, Support Staff and Prayer warriors, and if you would like to reach them for bookings, CDs or other information, there are plenty of ways to reach them; You can call Duane Garren, at 417-236-9090 or email him at email@example.com. You can visit their website at www.thekellysgospelband.com. Or, you can use the old tried and true US Postal Service, and mail it off to PO Box 10, Norwood, Missouri, 65717.
IN THIS EPISODE of Gospel Music Roundup, I have included several songs from The Kellys CD, but to gain the full experience, I suggest you get one and listen to it all. Here, I’ll be mixing in a great assortment of Gospel Bluegrass and southern Gospel to set your toes to tapping and your soul to singing, from such artists as:
John Eric Anderson
The Wild Heard
Bruce Weeks Family Band
Just Over Yonder Bluegrass Band
and of course, so much more-
